Two UAE Oil Tankers Attacked in Strait of Hormuz on July 14, 2 Deaths and 14 Injuries Reported

According to the International Maritime Organization, two UAE-flagged oil tankers were attacked in the Strait of Hormuz on the morning of July 14, resulting in 2 deaths and 14 injuries. The two ultra-large crude carriers, operated by Abu Dhabi National Oil Company, were transiting the strait when the attacks occurred. The IMO strongly condemned the incidents and called on all parties to protect seafarer safety and maintain freedom of navigation. Since late February, 56 confirmed attacks have occurred in waters near the Strait of Hormuz, resulting in 17 deaths.
