Three Korean Asset Managers Spent ~$10M on SpaceX ETF Ads Before IPO Collapsed

According to reports, three major South Korean asset management companies spent approximately 150 million Korean won (~$10M USD equivalent) on advertisements for SpaceX-related exchange-traded funds (ETFs) ahead of the company's planned initial public offering. When the SpaceX IPO failed to materialize, the heavy marketing spending triggered consumer complaints and inquiries filed with the Financial Supervisory Service.

The aggressive advertising campaign has raised concerns about asset management industry marketing practices. Industry regulators previously urged asset managers to exercise restraint in promotional spending competition.
