Tesla Unveils Five-Year Roadmap: FSD and Optimus to Reach Mainstream Adoption, Aims for Million-Unit Production

According to Tesla VP of automotive engineering Lars Moravy, the company recently unveiled a five-year strategic roadmap where full self-driving (FSD), Robotaxi, Cybercab, and humanoid robot Optimus will deeply integrate into daily life across transportation, production, and household sectors.

Moravy emphasized that FSD's neural network and Optimus share a unified AI architecture, operating through the same world model, visual perception system, and data training framework. Tesla's millions of vehicles collect real-world road data continuously, enabling the universal AI trained on billions of real-world iterations to transfer to Optimus, allowing it to recognize household items and perform autonomous tasks. The company targets million-unit production scale within five years, with Optimus eventually contributing 80% of Tesla's market value long-term.
