According to RootData, stock perpetual contracts on 30 crypto exchanges experienced a sharp 87.5% drop in 24-hour trading volume over the weekend, falling from approximately $39.08 billion to $4.90 billion. However, open positions remained stable, rising slightly from $10.14 billion to $10.26 billion, indicating traders maintained their exposure while reducing active trading. By Monday afternoon (July 27), trading volume recovered to $10.62 billion, up 116.8% from Sunday levels. Market liquidity showed resilience, declining only 18.8% over the weekend, suggesting order book recovery outpaced actual trading activity.
