On July 25, SpaceX's Starship completed its 13th test flight, successfully deploying 20 operational Starlink V3 satellites. The mission marked the company's first Starship launch since its June Nasdaq IPO. All satellites successfully deployed solar panels and antennas, with ground teams confirming signal transmission and telemetry reception via radio frequency and laser links. The V3 satellites achieved 1 Tbps downlink speed, a 10.7x improvement over the V2 Mini generation. Each V3 satellite weighs over 2 tons and features a 60-meter wingspan, making it compatible only with Starship. A fully loaded Starship can carry 60 V3 satellites, adding 60 Tbps of capacity per mission.
