South Korea's Dongtan District Apartment Prices Rise 1.46%, Transaction Volume Hits 7,000+ Units YTD

According to Korean Real Estate Board, apartment prices in Dongtan District, Hwaseong City, rose 1.46% in the week ending June 29, extending a four-week streak of 1%-plus gains. The year-to-date cumulative price increase reached 13.00%, driven by large apartment complexes near Dongtan Station. Transaction activity surged significantly, with 1,772 units traded in May alone—the highest monthly figure this year. Year-to-date cumulative transaction volume exceeded 7,000 units. On July 1, the government designated Dongtan District and surrounding areas as regulated real estate zones.
