South Korea's Covered Call ETF Assets Surge to 26 Trillion Won in 6 Months Amid Market Volatility

According to the financial industry on July 28, South Korea's covered call ETF net assets surged to 26 trillion won from approximately 15 trillion won at the start of 2026, marking an 11 trillion won increase in just six months. Amid July's volatile market swings, retail investors are shifting capital from capital gains to high-dividend and covered call ETFs for downside protection and stable monthly payouts. Four major covered call and U.S. dividend ETF products attracted 301 billion won in net inflows during the week of July 20-27 alone, according to data from Korea Composite Stock Price Index Committee (KOSCOM) ETF CHECK.
