SK Hynix, Samsung Electronics Plunge Over 10% on July 13, Limiting Taiwan Market Gains to 1%

According to Xie Jinhe, chairman of Taiwan's Caixun Media Group, SK Hynix and Samsung Electronics stocks plunged over 10% on July 13. Despite expectations for Taiwan's market to rise on strong TSMC earnings, the sharp declines in the two South Korean semiconductor stocks limited the overall Taiwan stock market gain to 1%, Xie said in a Facebook post criticizing the leverage of Korea's leading chip companies.
