According to Korean financial sources, SK Hynix raised approximately 40 trillion won (roughly $30 billion) through a NASDAQ ADR listing on July 20, and is currently conducting competitive bidding among domestic and foreign financial institutions to allocate the funds across foreign currency, bonds, and deposits. The company plans to distribute the capital across multiple financial channels rather than concentrate it in long-term bank deposits. Financial industry observers note that SK Hynix has increasingly favored short-term money markets this year, investing an estimated 20 trillion won in corporate bonds from January through June. Recent reports suggest the company deployed approximately 12 trillion won in June alone and channeled about 4 trillion won into structured accounts at a securities firm in July, signaling a continued shift toward capital markets over traditional banking placements.
