According to Bitcoin News, on July 16, Senator Elizabeth Warren demanded that President Trump voluntarily disclose his cryptocurrency income and holdings from January 1 through July 15 by July 23. As the top member of the Senate Banking Committee, Warren stated that Congress cannot fairly debate crypto legislation without complete information on the President's financial exposure to the industry.
Warren expressed concern that pending legislation, including the CLARITY Act, may substantially benefit enterprises and investments related to Trump, while these interests remain only partially disclosed. She emphasized the need for lawmakers to possess up-to-date information on the President's crypto interests before advancing legislation that could directly impact his holdings' value.
