SEC Proposes E-Delivery Rule to Modernize Securities Regulation

According to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, SEC Chair Paul Atkins introduced a new electronic delivery regulation on July 16, allowing issuers, broker-dealers, and investment advisers to expand their use of electronic delivery to meet federal securities law requirements. Atkins stated on X that the initiative represents a key pillar of the agency's modernization agenda, adding that "in the age of artificial intelligence and blockchain technology, paper delivery should be history, not the standard."
