According to ARK Invest director Lorenzo Valente, real-world asset (RWA) trading on Hyperliquid accounted for 54% of the exchange's weekly volume during July 13–19, marking the first time non-crypto assets dominated the platform. Hyperliquid processed $26 billion in RWA trading—including tokenized stocks, commodities, and indices—last week, exceeding the combined crypto perpetual volume of every other decentralized exchange on the market. Valente announced the milestone on X, stating, "We are entering a new era for DeFi." Data from Blockworks showed Hyperliquid handled $50 billion of the industry's $79 billion total perpetual DEX volume that week, with South Korean chipmaker SK Hynix leading stock trading interest.
