According to the U.S. State Department, U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio met with Lebanese President Joseph Aoun in Washington on July 19 to discuss the implementation of the trilateral U.S.-Lebanon-Israel framework agreement. The two sides addressed the disarmament of Hezbollah, destruction of its terrorist infrastructure, and the achievement of peace in Lebanon. Rubio reiterated U.S. support for the implementation of the framework agreement.
