Polygon Labs Lays Off Staff to Complete Coinme Acquisition, Targeting Blockchain Payments Pivot by 2027

According to CEO Marc Boiron via Foresight News, Polygon Labs laid off part of its staff on July 16 to integrate the Coinme acquisition team as part of a broader reorganization aimed at profitability by 2027. The company is transitioning from a "blockchain foundation" to a "blockchain payments company." Boiron stated the adjustments reflect organizational restructuring and talent needs changes, not performance issues.

The company reported strong revenue, record stablecoin trading volumes, and outperforming customer channels. Its on-chain payments solution is already live.
