Philippines Announces Diesel Price Hike of P2.62–P4.62 per Liter Starting July 14

According to Rappler, the Philippines' Department of Energy announced on July 13 that diesel prices will rise by P2.62 to P4.62 per liter starting Tuesday, July 14. Energy Secretary Sharon Garin also set permitted price ranges for gasoline (decrease of P1 or increase of up to P1 per liter) and kerosene (increase of P2.22 to P4.22 per liter) for the week of July 14 to 20. The adjustments follow renewed volatility in Middle East markets, with kerosene and diesel prices increasing despite recent easing in crude oil prices.
