Peacock Reaches Profitability in Q2 2026, Hits 46M Subscribers

According to Matt Strauss, NBCUniversal's media chairman, Peacock is on track to turn profitable in the second quarter of 2026. The streaming service ended Q1 2026 with 46 million paid subscribers, up from 41 million a year earlier, boosted by the Winter Olympics and NBA games. Streaming revenue nearly doubled to about $2 billion, though the unit posted a $432 million quarterly loss due to higher programming costs tied to major sporting events.
