According to Pakistani officials, on July 24, Pakistan explored diplomatic pathways to restart negotiations between the United States and Iran with the aim of ending a conflict that has persisted for nearly five months. Iranian Interior Minister Eskandar Momeni held exploratory talks during his visit to Islamabad this week, marking his second trip in 10 days, according to three Pakistani sources. Momeni met with Pakistani government leaders and military chief Asim Munir, per a Pakistani government statement. However, the three sources warned that significant obstacles remain in initiating talks with the United States.
