According to ChainCatcher, Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang announced the formation of the Open Secure AI Alliance on July 27, aimed at uniting global technology enterprises to develop security technologies and tools protecting AI software and AI agents. Huang stated that attackers already possess frontier AI capabilities, and defenders must establish a community-driven AI ecosystem combining open and closed-source models to strengthen security defenses.

The alliance will collaborate with Adobe, Microsoft, Hugging Face, IBM, Nvidia, Cloudflare, CrowdStrike, Databricks, Palantir, Red Hat, Salesforce, SAP, ServiceNow, SpaceX, and SK Telecom. Huang cited a prior Hugging Face security incident where open-weight models helped teams contain the breach, highlighting the need for such a collective security initiative.
