According to Axios, Nvidia CEO Huang Renxun recently said in an interview that the semiconductor industry will not face a downturn in the near term, attributing the current growth to a fundamental shift in computing driven by artificial intelligence infrastructure rather than seasonal demand fluctuations.
When asked if "this time is truly different," Huang confirmed his view, noting that cloud service companies are deploying massive capital spending to build AI infrastructure, and he predicts the overall industry could expand five to tenfold over the next decade. He also expressed confidence that despite concerns about high capital expenditures, the constraint of limited resources such as chips, land, and power actually prolongs the expansion timeline, allowing more time for infrastructure development.
