Nobel Chemistry Laureate Omar Yaghi Joins Tsinghua, Aims to Compress Materials R&D Timeline 10-Fold

According to Beating, Omar Yaghi, who won the 2025 Nobel Prize in Chemistry, has left UC Berkeley to join Tsinghua University as a chair professor. He will lead the establishment of AIMATRY (AI Materials Chemistry Research Center), bringing together teams from chemistry, chemical engineering, artificial intelligence, computer science, and materials science.
