According to Korea Exchange, South Korea's KOSPI index fell 3.95% to 6,551.30 today (July 20), triggering a sell-side circuit breaker during intraday trading. The index briefly dropped to 6,498.26 earlier in the session as losses exceeded 5%. This marks the 20th circuit breaker activation on KOSPI for 2026, following a similar halt in the KOSDAQ market at 11:21 a.m.
