Iran's VP Accuses U.S. of Launching Attacks Right After Signing Memorandum of Understanding

According to Iran's Fars News Agency, Iran's First Vice President Mohammad Reza Aref said on July 19 that the U.S. launched attacks on Iran immediately after the U.S.-Iran memorandum of understanding was signed, despite the agreement stipulating that Iran would manage Strait of Hormuz transit for 60 days. Both nations have accused each other of violating the accord's terms, specifically Clause 5, which requires ensuring safe passage of commercial vessels through the strait.
