Iran Rejects Qatar's Accusations Over July 6 Strait of Hormuz Vessel Attack

According to Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Baghei, on July 7, Iran rejected Qatar's accusations regarding the attack on Qatari vessels in the Strait of Hormuz on July 6, stating the accusations were unfounded and violated neighborly principles. Baghei cited the June 18 Memorandum of Understanding, which commits Iran to ensure the management and maritime services of the Strait of Hormuz, and emphasized that Iran was seriously fulfilling its obligations. He called on regional countries, particularly Qatar as the agreement's mediator, to refrain from actions contradicting the memorandum.
