Iran and Oman Hold Deputy-Level Talks on Hormuz Strait Shipping Security on July 24-25

According to Iran's Foreign Ministry spokesperson Baghaei, Iran and Oman held multilateral deputy-foreign-minister level talks on July 24-25 in Tehran to discuss shipping safety through the Strait of Hormuz. Both nations exchanged views on common principles and operational mechanisms for ensuring safe vessel passage, based on respect for their sovereignty as coastal states.

Baghaei stated the talks were productive and achieved progress, with Oman's delegation departing Tehran on July 25 afternoon. The two countries will continue consultations at technical and political levels. Current shipping conditions in the strait remain unchanged.
