Houthi Forces Warn All Ships Against Docking at Saudi Ports on Monday

According to Bloomberg, Houthi forces issued a warning to ship owners on Monday demanding that all vessels refrain from docking at Saudi ports. In an email to shipping companies, the Iran-backed militia stated that its maritime blockade applies not only to Saudi vessels but to all ships calling at Saudi ports. The group warned that any such activity would expose non-compliant vessels to sanctions and potential strikes within the operational range of Yemeni armed forces. Though the Houthis have not launched attacks on shipping for several months, the warning marks an escalation of threats amid rising tensions in the Middle East.
