France Withdraws All Diplomats from Burkina Faso as Ties Sever

According to French media, France has withdrawn all its diplomats from Burkina Faso, the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs said on July 6. The ministry also stated that Burkinabe diplomatic personnel must leave France by the evening of July 6. Burkina Faso announced on June 26 that it was severing diplomatic relations with France, citing failure to uphold mutual respect for sovereignty and non-interference in internal affairs.
