Ethereum Co-Founder: L1 Should Maintain Low Fees, Expects Tens of Thousands of Companies to Deploy in 2–3 Years

ETH-1.81%

According to BlockBeats, on July 14, Ethereum co-founder Joseph Lubin stated that Ethereum's L1 should keep transaction fees low to drive ecosystem growth. He predicted that tens of thousands of companies will deploy on Ethereum L1, L2, and permissioned EVM networks over the next 2–3 years, with cross-layer interoperability.

Lubin noted that mass adoption would increase ETH's monetary premium and L1 total fee revenue, while staking and other lockup mechanisms could reduce circulating supply and further boost ETH's value if it returns to a net burn state.
