China's Southwest Oil and Gas Output Surges 253.1B Cubic Meters in H1 2026, Hits Record High

According to China National Petroleum Corporation, its Southwest Oil and Gas Company produced 253.1 billion cubic meters of natural gas in the first half of 2026, hitting a record high for the same period. Natural gas output increased 5.4% compared to the prior year, while oil equivalent reached over 20 million tons, up approximately 6% year-over-year.
