China Healthcare Authority Discovers Forged Expert Signatures in Drug Procurement; Bayer Denies Involvement

According to China's National Healthcare Security Administration on July 8, investigators discovered that a foreign pharmaceutical company submitted forged expert signature documents during the 12th batch of centralized drug procurement, attempting to influence the selection process. The forged "consensus letter" purportedly signed by 78 doctors from 31 hospitals was verified to have over 80% false signatures. Bayer China clarified to media that the involved company is not Bayer, stating the company strictly complies with national laws and continues supporting government initiatives to improve drug accessibility and reduce patient burdens.
