As the line between the crypto market and traditional finance grows increasingly indistinct, Gate has formally introduced TradFi contract-for-difference (CFD) trading. This enables users to engage with price fluctuations in traditional markets—including forex, indices, gold, and equities—on a single platform. In this article, we examine the trading framework of Gate TradFi, the USDx valuation mechanism, the design of leverage and fee structures, and its role within the broader multi-asset trading ecosystem. Our aim is to help readers understand how this feature can enhance flexibility in trading strategies.

From Crypto Markets to Multi-Asset Price Participation

In recent years, traders have moved beyond focusing on single asset classes. The pronounced volatility of crypto assets has prompted many users to seek more diversified trading options that can spread risk and capture different market cycles. In response, Gate has introduced TradFi Contract for Difference (CFD) trading, enabling users to engage with price movements in traditional financial markets directly from the familiar crypto trading platform.

This launch marks Gate’s evolution from a pure crypto asset service to a multi-market price trading platform. Now, trading strategies can seamlessly cross between crypto and traditional finance. This feature is fully integrated into the Gate App.

Tradable Instruments Span Major Traditional Markets

Gate TradFi contracts now support a wide range of mainstream traditional financial assets, including forex, indices, precious metals, commodities, and select popular stocks. Users trade on price movements rather than the underlying asset itself, staying true to the core principles of the CFD market.

This approach allows users to monitor and trade across different markets within their existing Gate account—no need to open separate securities or forex accounts.

USDx Accounting Streamlines Fund Transfers

Gate uses USDx as the unit for display and settlement in TradFi contract accounts. USDx is an internal accounting tool that maintains a 1:1 peg with USDT. When users transfer USDT into their TradFi account, the system automatically displays the balance as USDx—no manual conversion required and no extra conversion fees.

This design reduces the operational burden of moving funds in and out of TradFi markets, allowing users to focus on their trading strategies rather than asset conversion steps.

Trading Mechanism Adheres to CFD Market Logic

Unlike crypto perpetual contracts, Gate TradFi contracts are modeled after the rules of traditional CFD markets. Trading features clearly defined open and close times, fixed leverage ratios, and a cross margin system. Long and short positions on the same instrument can be hedged by lot size, and profit and loss are calculated based on counterparty prices.

Additionally, overnight fees apply during market closures as specified by product rules. These mechanisms make the TradFi contract trading experience closely resemble established traditional financial trading environments.

Leverage and Fee Structure Balance Flexibility and Risk

Gate TradFi applies tailored leverage settings for different asset classes. Forex and index products offer up to 500x leverage, while stock CFDs are capped at 5x—reflecting the distinct risk profiles of each market.

Gate TradFi also provides a transparent and competitive fee structure, with transaction fees as low as $0.018 per trade. This makes it easier for users to estimate actual costs before engaging in short-term or strategic trades.

MT5 System Integration: Professionalism Meets Convenience

Gate TradFi leverages MT5 (MetaTrader 5) as its core trading system, enabling users to view account information and trading records on both the Gate App and MT5 client—accommodating different user preferences. For risk control, the platform enforces forced liquidation rules based on margin ratios. If an account’s margin ratio falls to 50% or below, the system will liquidate positions sequentially to manage overall risk exposure and maintain a stable trading environment.

New User Experience Activities Lower Entry Costs

To help users get acquainted with TradFi contract operations, Gate recently launched an experience campaign. After registration, users can receive up to 110 USDT in trial funds. Once they complete actual trades, they can unlock up to 3,000 USDT in additional incentives to support their first TradFi trading experience. These activities allow users to test strategies and trading models with lower pressure, reducing the psychological hurdle of entering a new market for the first time.

New Trading Options Through Multi-Market Integration

The expansion of TradFi functionality connects the Gate platform’s crypto assets and traditional financial market price trading environments. For traders, this means access to more tradable instruments, as well as the ability to make cross-market decisions, hedge risks, and configure strategies—all within a single platform.

Conclusion

Gate TradFi contracts are not simply an additional trading product—they represent the platform’s long-term commitment to multi-asset trading. Through standardized CFD rules, clear fee and risk control designs, and seamless integration with crypto asset account systems, Gate offers users a more comprehensive approach to market participation. As crypto and traditional finance continue to converge, this cross-market trading architecture is becoming a key competitive advantage for the next generation of trading platforms.

AI-Native Settlement Layers: How United Stables Is Building the Next Financial Rail

Stablecoins were originally designed as dollar substitutes within exchanges, primarily used for asset pricing and trade settlement. As on-chain financial ecosystems have matured, their role has expanded beyond simple payments to include collateral assets, cross-chain liquidity mediums, and unified settlement units. In particular, as AI systems and automated agents begin to participate directly in economic activity, demand has risen sharply for programmable value units capable of instant settlement. This shift is pushing stablecoins toward the role of foundational financial infrastructure.

AERO is the native token of Aerodrome Finance, a core decentralized exchange and liquidity protocol in the Base ecosystem. It is primarily used for liquidity incentives and ecosystem operations. veAERO is a governance NFT that users receive by locking AERO, representing both voting power and the right to share protocol revenue. Through a dual track structure of AERO as a utility token and veAERO as a governance credential, Aerodrome separates liquidity usage value from long term governance power, allowing participants to act as liquidity providers, governance decision makers, and revenue sharers within the same system.

How is the price of PAXG determined? Pegging mechanism, trading depth, and influencing factors

PAXG (Pax Gold) is a tokenized asset backed by physical gold reserves, launched by fintech firm Paxos and issued as an ERC-20 token on the Ethereum blockchain. The core concept is to digitally represent real-world gold assets, allowing investors to hold and trade gold via the blockchain network. Because each PAXG token corresponds to a specific quantity of physical gold, its price is theoretically expected to closely track the global gold market.
