On April 27th, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism held a media promotion conference in Beijing for the 2026 National “May Day” Culture and Tourism Consumption Week, officially launching the nationwide “May Day” Culture and Tourism Consumption Week activities, organizing various regions to introduce a series of affordable products, leisure activities, convenient services, and benefit measures around the “May Day” holiday to meet the travel and cultural tourism consumption needs of residents and tourists. It is reported that this “May Day” Culture and Tourism Consumption Week will last from the end of April until the end of the “May Day” holiday. The Ministry of Culture and Tourism, in collaboration with relevant enterprises and organizations, will launch a series of colorful cultural and tourism benefit measures during the consumption week. During the promotion conference, the National Climate Center of the China Meteorological Administration released the national “May Day” flower viewing tourism map; China Petroleum & Chemical Corporation launched self-driving travel benefit measures such as “Full Tank on Friday, Weekend Self-Drive Tour”; China Mobile introduced special discounts for “May Day Travel Benefits, Enjoy Rural Routes”; Industrial and Commercial Bank of China and Agricultural Bank of China carried out activities like “Love Shopping for May Day” and “Cultural and Tourism Trendy Play Season”; Amap launched special offers for the May Day cultural and tourism activities.
