The U.S. military said it will keep blocking vessels entering and leaving Iranian ports after 37 ships were forced to alter course since the blockade began. U.S. Central Command said USS Pinkney used an armed helicopter in the Arabian Sea to intercept a merchant vessel, which then returned to Iran under U.S. warship escort. Trump said on April 13 that the blockade started at 10:00 AM Eastern Time that day. Iran said the move is an act of war and violates the ceasefire agreement.
