Lenovo opened an artificial intelligence innovation center on April 23 at the Hong Kong-Shenzhen Innovation and Technology Park, according to Xinhua. The move makes Lenovo one of the first large multinational technology companies to establish operations in the Hong Kong Park of the Innovation Cooperation Zone.

Center Operations and Partnerships

At the launch event, Lenovo announced it had secured 30 initial partners, with more than half focused on enterprise AI, office automation, and data management services. The center will function as a connection point between Hong Kong and Lenovo’s global network, supporting research partnerships, startup incubation, and talent development initiatives.

Strategic Significance

Lenovo stated that the move reflects confidence in Hong Kong’s technology sector. Innovation Secretary Sung Dong was present at the launch event, underscoring the local government’s support for the initiative.
