An interesting observation from Arkham data — Satoshi Nakamoto still ranks first among the largest Bitcoin holders. It’s about 1.1 million BTC, currently valued at approximately $87 billion at the current price.
Honestly, this is mind-blowing. So far, no one has surpassed the original Bitcoin creator in holdings volume. Satoshi remains a legend not only because of his contribution to the development of cryptocurrencies but also because of this colossal portfolio that he has never touched.
For comparison — the next in the list are Coinbase, BlackRock, Strategy, the U.S. government, and Tether. But even combined, they do not come close to Satoshi’s position. This indicates how seriously he was invested in the Bitcoin idea from the very beginning.
What’s interesting is that the entire weight of Satoshi’s holdings is essentially dormant capital. No one knows if these bitcoins will ever move from their addresses. And that’s what makes Satoshi’s position so unique in the market. The person who created a financial revolution remains its biggest beneficiary.
