I just read that South Korea is investigating how confiscated bitcoins were lost due to a phishing attack. Basically, they had these seized funds, and someone managed to access them through a well-coordinated phishing attack. It’s quite serious when you think that governments are supposed to protect these assets better than anyone.

The interesting part is that this isn’t the first time we’ve seen this kind of thing. Phishing attacks are becoming more sophisticated, and apparently even government agencies are not completely safe. They say they are investigating exactly how it happened, but these incidents always raise many questions about the security of cryptocurrency wallets, even in official hands.

This news is a good reminder of how vulnerable systems can be, regardless of who manages them. A well-executed phishing attack can compromise even the strictest security protocols. What do you all think about how governments should be handling these confiscated assets?
