Just checked gas prices across the country and honestly surprised how cheap things got. We're sitting at $2.90 nationally right now, which is the lowest I've seen in years. Apparently it's been under $3 a gallon for like 11 straight weeks now—wild considering we were over $5 just a couple years back. The regional differences are insane though. Places like Oklahoma are in the mid-$2 range while California and Hawaii are still over $4. I looked into why there's such a huge gap and it comes down to taxes, local fuel blends, and refinery access. Oklahoma's got it good with lower state taxes, but California basically requires their own special fuel formula that only a few refineries can produce, so obviously their prices stay higher. If you're planning a road trip, gas prices in Oklahoma and the surrounding states are definitely the sweet spot right now. Kind of crazy how much your location matters for something like this.
