i almost got my wallet drained last week and it changed how i do everything now
i was using the same instant swap for every wallet. same provider, same timing, same amounts. didn’t think about it.
then someone showed me that every single withdrawal i ever received from traces back to the same 4 hot wallets. all of them. publicly tagged. took them about 90 seconds to link 12 of my wallets together.
12 wallets i thought were separate. connected in under 2 minutes because i was lazy about how i funded them.
i moved everything that night.
now i use for all of it. seed mode: one deposit, each wallet gets funded from a different exchange, different amount, different time. checked it myself on bubblemaps after. nothing. no cluster. no shared source. just random looking and withdrawals.
the thing that bothers me is how long i was doing it wrong and just didn’t know. probably most of you reading this are in the same spot right now.
go check your wallets on a block explorer. look at where your incoming txs come from. if they all trace back to the same hot wallet, you’re one curious person away from having your whole wallet structure mapped out.
not trying to scare anyone but this actually happened to me and i wish someone had posted this sooner
