The market is back to trading on renewed hopes for peace!
After the US and Iran paused military actions, the market rapidly repriced risk. S&P 500 futures rose 0.7%, Nasdaq 100 futures rose 1.2%, and Dow Jones futures rose 0.6%; at the same time, WTI crude oil fell 8%, and Brent crude oil fell 6%.
As the energy risk premium declines, the market is again betting on liquidity recovery after tensions ease. Gold rose modestly by 0.7%, indicating that funds still retain some hedging allocation, but overall risk appetite is starting to warm up.
As the war premium falls, risk assets catch their breath first.
The real trend will depend on whether capital can keep coming back.
