[Former Ethereum Developer: Many Metrics in the Crypto Industry Are Meaningless and Misleading VC to Continue Investing]
Former Ethereum developer Max Resnick posted criticizing that many on-chain metrics in the crypto industry are essentially a scam, aimed at misleading VCs to keep pouring more funds into the industry. He specifically pointed out data related to Restaking, stating that the same ETH has been counted at least 10 times, and questioned the serious issues with the metric definitions on many on-chain data platforms. Every time he carefully studies the calculation methods of these sites' metrics, he finds they are either incorrect or meaningless, and cannot truly measure the data they claim. Max Resnick also pointed out that the performance of data in the current crypto lending sector continues to deteriorate, and said that if the industry cannot face reality and honestly address problems, the situation will only get worse. He believes the first step to solving the problem is to admit that it exists. Previously, on December 10, 2024, Ethereum ecosystem developer Max Resnick posted that he has given up his job at Consensys and has moved on to join the Solana development company Anza.
