Damn, I just discovered that in 2026, you can simply take a photo of a problem and get a complete solution with all the steps. I used to think it was only in science fiction, but it actually works in reality. I tried several services — the results are impressive.
I started with Photomath — a classic app, just point the camera at the problem and you're done. Math, algebra, geometry — it solves everything instantly. But only math, it doesn’t handle physics. Then I switched to MathGPT — it already includes physics and chemistry, plus it’s free and doesn’t require registration. The interface is in English, but it recognizes Russian normally.
For more complex subjects, I found Wolfram|Alpha — that’s a whole different level. Graphs, integrals, differential equations, statistics. The only thing is, photo recognition is only in the paid version; in the free version, you need to input text. But the results are accurate. Mathway is similar to Photomath, but the interface is more user-friendly, though full solutions also require a subscription.
There’s also Symbolab — great for students, shows every step of the solution literally. And Gauth covers everything: math, physics, biology, languages. BotHub is interesting because it’s an aggregator — it has ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude all in one place, and you can choose any model.
Honestly, if you’re serious, universal AI models like GPT-5 or Gemini Pro can already solve problems across all subjects. You don’t need to look for specialized services — just upload a photo, and that’s it. The technology for recognizing text and formulas in photos has advanced to the point where a smartphone has become a full-fledged assistant. Some might see this as cheating, but if used correctly — it’s a great learning tool.
