I found that the grid/DCA thing, if you put it plainly, is basically paying an “insurance premium” for sleep: if it goes up, I won’t slap my thigh in regret; if it drops, I won’t get up in the middle of the night to add more. On the other hand, something like going all-in—sure, it feels great, but the first thing I do when I wake up the next day is reach for my phone, and my heartbeat is even more on time than the alarm clock… I’ve basically accepted that I’m not the kind of person who can do that.

A few days ago, that mainstream public chain was supposed to upgrade, right? In the group, people started speculating again whether the ecosystem would migrate and who would “catch the traffic.” My hands were itching to get involved too, but in the end I stayed sensible and set reminders for both the exchange and the wallet, plus a per-transaction limit. My mindset changed instantly: anyway, once the time comes, it will call out to me, and the amount is capped—when I want to get impulsive and click around, I find I “can’t,” so it feels pretty calm. Whether I make money or not is another matter; at least I don’t lose my coins, and I don’t lose my sleep.
