A-shares opened lower and then rose across the board, with over 4,000 stocks gaining and multiple themes performing well.
Today, the A-share market opened lower and then rose throughout the day, with all three major indices turning positive. By the close, the Shanghai Composite Index increased by 0.12%, closing at 4,113.10 points; the Shenzhen Component Index rose by 0.27%, closing at 14,126.52 points; and the ChiNext Index also gained 0.12%, closing at 3,220.76 points. The Sci-Tech Innovation Board 50 Index performed well, rising by 0.41% to 1,411.08 points. The total trading volume across both markets was 1,055.8 billion yuan, down about 151.2 billion yuan from the previous trading day. Market activity slightly declined, but individual stocks generally performed well, with over 4,000 stocks rising.
In terms of industry sectors, agriculture, chemicals, brain-computer interfaces, and power grids led the gains. Among thematic concepts, the gas turbine sector led with a 5.71% increase, with two stocks hitting the daily limit. The generator concept followed closely, up 4.44%, with three stocks hitting the limit. Virtual power plants and charging devices also performed strongly, rising 3.94% and 3.75%, respectively, with three and one stocks hitting the limit. The SST concept, recombinant proteins, and TDI concept stocks all gained over 3%. Shipbuilding, stem cells, and power IoT sectors also performed well, with gains ranging from 2.94% to 3.21%.
In contrast, some resource-related sectors underperformed. The mining industry led declines, dropping 3.58%; crude oil sector fell 3.54%, and mining declined 3.17%. Flammable ice and oil sectors also declined over 2%, at 2.90% and 2.76%, respectively. Electronic cloth, aluminum, and coke sectors fell between 1.87% and 2.05%, with the electronic paper concept sector down 1.77%, ranking at the bottom of the decline list. Overall, market hotspots showed clear differentiation, and capital flow exhibited structural characteristics.
