Whale News, March 5 — Recently, the Shandong Regulatory Branch of the China Banking and Insurance Regulatory Commission issued a penalty notice targeting Huatai Life Insurance Co., Ltd. Shandong Branch, Jinan Central Branch, and related responsible persons.

The penalty notice states that Huatai Life Insurance Co., Ltd. Shandong Branch was fined 115,000 RMB for providing policyholders with benefits beyond those stipulated in the insurance contract. Huang He, then General Manager of Huatai Life Insurance Co., Ltd. Shandong Branch, and Han Xiao, then Assistant Manager of the Personal Business Department, were both warned and fined 20,000 RMB each.

Additionally, Huatai Life Insurance Co., Ltd. Jinan Central Branch was fined 40,000 RMB for changing its branch office location without approval. Zhao Guowei, then General Manager of Jinan Central Branch, was warned and fined 10,000 RMB.
